Hi Celeste,
I know that you’ve said you work from your home, I noticed the videos you have on Cal’s website show you sitting in front on a picture frame paneled wall. I was curious if that was your office or a location you use for taping? (Just being nosey!)
I’m looking forward to meeting you when I take my hypnosis training from you. I have the advantage of getting to know you a bit through your videos. I think you mentioned that your husband helped you with your website, is that what he does? I know that will be an important part of growing my business so I’m picking you brain a bit, I apologize for all of the questions.
Mike
Hey Mike,
I try to be an open book, something I would have liked to have encountered when I was getting started, so I LOVE QUESTIONS!!!! Ask away.
The paneled wall is in my entry way. When clients walk into my house, they see a desk up a bit and to the left. That is where I do most of my computer work, answering the phone, selling and scheduling. This is also the set for my podcasts with Cal on Hypnosis Etc. (www.calbanyan.com is the website for Hypnosis Etc. Look in the archives for me.)
In my hypnosis office, I have another desk and a computer. I plan to spend more time in there when writing articles and stuff that requires more concentration. I’ll begin that once my hubby networks our computers! Honey, are you listening? LOL!
I’m looking very forward to meeting you in the upcoming hypnosis training class too! By the way, you’ll get a tour, as part of the class, of my home office and you’ll see the famous paneled wall yourself It’s going to be a blast. I love teaching and you will love the class. My students all say how much they enjoy it and are usually very surprised at how in-depth we go.
As to my hubby, he does videos for websites, but not websites themselves. Here is his website: www.VideosForYourWebsite.com. You mentioned a very important aspect of why we do so much video. It DOES help your viewer to feel like they have gotten to know you a bit and that means you have built rapport. Rapport is important in any relationship building and even more so with hypnosis clients. So I like to have videos on all my sites. Notice the video on this site: It is one of my favorite videos for clients to see before coming in: www.DallasHypnosisUptown.com.
While I am at it, I may as well, mention my newest website and business that I am starting with my sister, Denese Boyd. She is a wonderful Registered Nurse who now loves hypnosis. We, as of yet, have no video on this site, but I am sure we will in the future! Here is that site: www.FamilyMedicalHypnosis.com.
www.FamilyFirstHypnosis.com is my primary site and the video on the first page of that site is an interview with a former client. Check that out. Also go to http://www.hypnosisinstructors.com/author/celestehackett/ to see a video of me demonstrating a technique called compounding that you’ll learn in class.
In addition, many people are surprised to see that I have a zany side to my personality. I was once a national radio announcer and love to make people laugh. So please subscribe to my YouTube Channel for funny videos. Doing these videos give me a outlet for my creative kooky side.
Also, while there you can get to know my family a bit as there are family videos too. You’ll almost meet my camera shy hubby, two of my sisters, my mom and my niece, Christian, who came to live with us in the Summer of 2008. She is in Special Ed in High School and we do a lot of videos with her so she can have great memories of this time in her life. So here is that link. I hope you will subscribe. I have just started it. http://www.youtube.com/user/Celestehackett
Also, feel free to make me a friend on Facebook to hear updates on various things I am into. (Go to he videos section on my wall to see various videos. Some of these are not on Youtube.)
Right now, on Facebook, I am checking out a new diet for my clients with metabolism issues. I am on the diet protocol myself and giving daily updates. Just log into Facebook and invite me to be your friend.
I love so forward to meeting you and I hope this answered your questions! I also hope that you love our Dallas Hypnosis training classes! We are doing our very best to make our classes the best hypnosis training available. Please tell a friend.
